Tampa, Florida Mayor Jane Castor threatened to get local police on the job of “dealing with” maskless partiers at Super Bowl 55 events. Castor said that while she saw most people at said parties with masks on, there were some who did not have masks on and that they would be dealt with by Tampa police. The State of Florida does not have a mask mandate currently, but there is a mandate in certain parts of Tampa. Raymond James Stadium, the area around the stadium, and Ybor City are designated as “entertainment zones” where masks are required by city mandate.
