In-N-Out Burger Refuses To Enforce San Francisco Vaccine Mandate

An In-N-Out Burger location in San Francisco was temporarily shut down after they refused to enforce the city’s vaccine mandate. The Department of Public Health says they attempted to get compliance from the location on numerous occasions before the Notice of Violation and Notice of Closure was issued. In-N-Out Burger says they “fiercely disagree with any Government dictate that forces a private company to discriminate against customers who chose to patronize their business”. The California-based fast-food restaurant also slammed the “clear governmental overreach” as “intrusive, improper, and offensive”.

In-N-Out has re-opened its doors since the initial temporary shutdown, but they are not permitted to take dine-in customers. They are carry-out only. Many conservative and/or freedom-minded people all over the country are praising the restaurant chain for their dedication to freedom. Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way. Especially in the extremely liberal San Francisco. Local SF news interviewed people outside of the restaurant about the vaccine mandate. The two groups of people who made it on-air both agreed with San Francisco’s rules. As a matter of fact, the reason why In-N-Out in San Francisco was initially shut down is because of repeated complaints that were investigated.

San Francisco just may be a lost cause when it comes to ideas that are viewed in a somewhat conservative way. From top to bottom, SF is run by liberals and far-leftist ideology. In-N-Out Burger may just pack up and leave due to the ridiculous nature of the Local Government. It is not up to City Council, the Mayor, the Governor, or anyone else to be in the business of picking winners and losers in business. This also applies to Walgreens who are shuttering stores left and right in SF. The issue Walgreens has is different from In-N-Out Burger. The local Government states that any theft of less than $1,000 will not be prosecuted. This, of course, is a rule that incentivizes organized crime. Several videos have gone viral online of Walgreens being looted by men carrying large black trash bags. Paid security can do nothing but look on while filming the entire event on their cell phones.

The feel-good, but nonsensical policies of requiring everyone to get the vaccine for “safety” and also refusing to “criminalize poor people” are running the city of San Francisco. This also extends to California as a whole. People are fleeing the Golden State in record numbers. The mass exodus is at such a large scale that the state is losing representation in Congress. Maybe when all the law-abiding and productive citizens leave the state, leaving all the criminals and victims of criminals behind, the state will begin to go in a different direction. Probably not until then, though.
