Kamala Harris megadonors are not pleased with “Obama World” over forcing Joe Biden out of the race late in the season. Biden famously dropped out just before the Democratic National Convention after gaining around 98% of the primary vote. He was asked over and over again if he was going to drop out and if he had enough vim and vigor to continue.
Shortly after the first (and only) debate with President Trump, the idea of forcing him out via constitutional mandate over an inability to continue. Biden obliged. However, on his way out of the door, Biden immediately endorsed Kamala Harris. This was not the intention of Obama World. They wanted Biden to drop out earlier. They also wanted Kamala Harris to be replaced as Vice President so the “better” option would already be in place to replace Joe once he quit.
Since none of the aforementioned happened, the result was $2 billion of campaign finance being set on fire for absolutely no reason. The donors who gave that money that became part of a proverbial bonfire want their questions about that process answered. Typically, such matters are handled behind the scenes and out of the view of the general public. However, this case was so egregious that big name donors have revealed themselves for the first time to air their grievances.
