A 24-year-old man was arrested after allegedly luring a 37-year-old convicted child predator to his death in Houston, Texas. James Spencer III is accused of posing as a minor to lure Sean Connery Showers to a local park. When Showers was traveling to the location, Spencer allegedly drove up next to him and opened fire.
According to a witness statement, James Spencer was frustrated with law enforcement’s inability to keep child predators off the street, so he decided to take action into his own hands. Showers was convicted of possessing inappropriate material featuring children in 2009. He has been in trouble with the law involving children for years since the 2009 conviction. Showers also refused to register as a sex offender.
