The Mayor of Aurora, Colorado, Mike Coffman, has responded to the Venezuelan migrant takeover of three apartment complexes. The Governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, has also responded. The messages from the two men couldn’t be any more divergent. Coffman says this issue is the fault of failed policy at the border from the Federal Government. Polis refuses to acknowledge that the problem exists. In a snarky press release, Polis said that the ordeal is a figment of the imagination. The reality is that illegal aliens from Venezuela have taken over low-income apartment complexes. They patrol the grounds with heavy weaponry, and they are extorting the tenants, forcing them to pay rent to the gang instead of the property manager. Both federal and state governments have abandoned the people who live in these apartments, with both sides pointing fingers at each other.
