MSNBC Aired False Report About ICE Agents Attempting Raid On Elementary School

MSNBC aired a false story about an attempted Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid on a Chicago Elementary School. The school in question is 90% Hispanic and the fear was that children were being targeted for deportation by the Trump administration. Staff at the school had been trained on refusing entry of such agents. The agents did not enter the school and nobody was detained. However, ICE agents were not the ones who paid the school a visit.

Secret Service visited the school due to an alleged threat made by one of the students against President Donald Trump over the TikTok ban. They left school administrators business cards with their contact information. The mix-up appears to be with Federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security being confused with Immigration agents. This would have been easy to clear up with simple fact-checking and research that the mainstream media hung their hat on in previous years. None of that appears to have taken place.
