Nearly 50 Red Lobster locations are set to close soon, some of which have already closed. Notices of location closures posted on doors surprised employees and customers. Over 100 locations are listed to close on the company’s website. This news comes on the heels of the disastrous “endless shrimp” promotion that was entirely too expensive with no real upside. Red Lobster, however, is not alone in financial troubles. Other restaurants, retail locations, and brick-and-mortar businesses are closing down amid an economic downturn in the country. Thousands of closing businesses have been listed on multiple websites to illustrate the bad economy.
