NYC Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted by the feds over bribery and wire fraud allegations. This indictment comes on the heels of several members of the Adams administration being raided, indicted, and/or forced to resign from their positions. Allegations against the mayor date back at least ten years, from when he was the Brooklyn Borough President. Adams is expected to turn himself into Federal authorities early next week. It is unclear if he will be remanded to custody or allowed to post bail. Some say that this indictment is a form of “lawfare” similar to what’s happening to President Trump due to Adams’s consistent stance against the migrant crisis.
