The man who attacked former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, has been given a lengthy prison sentence. David DePape, an illegal alien from Canada, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the attack. The specific charges against DePape were attempted kidnapping of a federal officer and assault on an immediate family member of a federal official. DePape was reportedly trying to attack and/or kidnap Nancy Pelosi, who was not home at the time. He was facing a maximum of 40 years and a minimum of 15 years for the brazen home invasion and hammer attack on Paul Pelosi.
