Tiger Woods’s ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, is suing the famous pro-golfer for $30 million dollars over kicking her out of his home. Woods was in a relationship with Herman for six years but there is no marriage or children. He did, however, cohabitate with Herman. The lawsuit alleges that Woods tricked her into an eviction. She was told by people around Woods to pack bags for a short vacation. Upon arriving at the airport, she was informed that she was locked out of Tiger Woods’s Jupiter, Florida home. This may be a violation of her rights as a “tenant.”
She signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Woods back in 2017. This agreement is in jeopardy of being thrown out due to Herman’s lawyers citing the “Speak Out Act” (now law). This law says that legally binding agreements such as NDAs may be voided in the case of harassment or assault. Herman checked “yes” under a question about the case involving “sexual abuse allegations”. However, no such allegations against Tiger Woods from Erica Herman come up in any paperwork.
Woods is no stranger to such controversy involving women in his life. Back in 2010, Woods’s divorce from his wife, Elin Nordegren, was finalized. He was ordered to pay north of $100 million in a settlement, plus $20,000 per month in child support. Woods may have attempted to manage this relationship in a different way to avoid the exorbitant fees that his last one cost him upon its ending. Obviously, he may have cut a few corners here and although the financial penalty may be less than the previous one, he will still face problems.
