US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says the United States can afford wars in both Ukraine and Israel. During a nearly 20-minute interview, Yellen celebrated the strength of the US economy and the nation’s willingness to stand with allies. The economy may be doing well when it comes to reported statistics such as the unemployment rate and a lower inflation rate, but these numbers are misleading. Inflation is still crippling although it has declined over the past few months. People are struggling to buy everything… from houses and cars to basic food items. The United States is over $33.5 trillion in debt and counting. Ukraine has received billions of dollars from the US and Israel already receives billions in aid from the US. Janet Yellen may just speak to the bleeding hearts of a select few with her stance on supporting foreign war.
