Tucker Carlson has sparked a mass exodus of Fox News employees. These people are mostly former Tucker Carlson Tonight staffers, many of whom were with Tucker from beginning to end. New York Times reports that two Fox staffers have left the network in favor of Tucker’s new show on Twitter. However, Tucker’s biographer says he has inside information that points to at least nine staffers leaving the cable news giant to go work with their friend over on Twitter.
Many more people are allegedly waiting to leave the network as soon as a position opens up with Tucker. Everyone who has joined Tucker reached out to him and not the other way around, according to reports. A large number of guest contributors who made routine appearances on Tucker Carlson Tonight are also refusing to appear on the platform since Tucker’s removal.
This news makes quite a bit of sense, considering the steps Fox has taken to distance itself from conservative viewers and voices. Popular voices such as Dan Bongino, Bill O’Reilly, and Tucker Carlson are no longer there. New talent has not really been cultivated. Recent contributor add-ons include the likes of transgender Caitlyn Jenner. It is not quite clear what direction Fox is attempting to steer itself, but wherever their destination does not appear attractive to quite a few people on and off the network.
