Woman Goes Missing After Attempting To Rescue Child On The Interstate

25-year-old Carlethia “Carlee” Russell has gone missing after attempting to rescue a toddler walking alone on the side of the interstate. Carlee was last seen on I-459 near Exit 10 close to Hoover, Alabama. She reportedly saw a child walking alone on the side of the interstate after 9pm Thursday. Carlee called the police to alert them then she called her sister. At some point, the sister lost direct contact with Carlee but the phone line was still open. Carlee’s sister eventually heard her scream which was followed up by loud noises that probably emanated from the interstate.

Personal items belonging to Carlee were found near her vehicle on the side of the interstate. Carlee, however, has not been found as of the writing of this article. A trucker says they saw a grey vehicle cut in front of Carlee’s at some point. No missing person report has been filed in relation to the child that Carlee was attempting to save. This most likely means that the entire situation was a set-up to lure her into a trap. Similar situations like this have transpired all throughout the United States.
