New York City radio host Charlamagne Tha God of “The Breakfast Club” has endorsed Kamala Harris, but not Joe Biden, for President. The controversial media personality gave his endorsement on CNN alongside Don Lemon. Charlamange, also known as Lenard McKelvey, says he is tired of “old white male” leadership in Biden and Trump and is only advocating for Kamala Harris as a “change agent”.
The Breakfast Club are no strangers to politics. When Hillary Clinton was running for President back in 2016, she made the infamous “hot sauce in my bag” comments on the Breakfast Club. Immediately after her comments and still during the interview, Charlamange tha God told Hillary to be careful because people would think she was pandering to the black community. The former first lady responded to Charlamange by asking “is it working?” Everyone laughs.
Another incident happened with Kamala Harris at the Power 105.1 radio station back in February 2019. One of the hosts, either DJ Envy or Charlamagne, asked Harris about college, marijuana, and music. She appeared to say that she smoked weed in college and also listened to Tupac and Snoop at the same time. The problem is that Kamala Harris is well into her 50ss so she would have been in college in the 80s. Tupac and Snoop were not out as artists yet so her statement is untrue.
Some of the mainstream media have fact-checked Kamala’s “weed and rappers” statement as a misunderstanding. However, the Senator from California doubled-down on the Tupac line when Angela Rye asked her who her favorite artist alive is and she said Tupac. He has been dead since 1996. Nearly a quarter-century ago. It appears as if “Tupac” is Kamala Harris’ go-to answer when anything rap-music related comes up.
The most recent insult to The Breakfast Club from the Democratic party came when Charlamange tha God interviewed Joe Biden by himself on behalf of the show. Toward the end of the interview, a Biden staffer can be heard from the back attempting to wrap the interview up. Charlamange did not like that and said “you can’t do that to black media!” Charlamange then asked Biden to come back to the Breakfast Club the next time he’s in New York because he had more questions about black issues. Biden then dropped the infamous line: “if you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black!”
Despite the numerous direct insults from the Democratic Party, from Democratic Presidential Candidates, and from leftist policy in general, Charlamange tha God still says that he will vote for a Biden/Harris ticket. Mostly because “orange man bad.” He is attempting to save face by saying that he doesn’t want any “old, white” leadership. But the reality is that Kamala Harris is not running for President, Joe Biden is. And beyond that, even if Kamala Harris were to take the reigns of power away from Biden, its not like she would do anything differently than him. Because the left is controlled by external forces that do not have America’s best interests at heart.
