Americans Are Fleeing To Mexico For Cheaper Food And Gas

Americans are fleeing to Mexico in search of cheaper food and gas prices. Retailers in Tijuana have reported a 20 to 30% increase in daytime tourism from American shoppers. Mexico is a poor country and has a long reputation for having cheaper items. Especially when it comes to prescription drugs and medical care in general. Americans have visited Mexico for a very long time for this reason.

However, the recent economic downturn in America caused by massive inflation due to money-printing has increased the volume of Americans visiting Mexico. Reports coming from Mexico City suggest that so many Americans are moving to the city that it is actually creating a problem with gentrification. All of this is happening while the Biden administration insists that there is no recession and that the economy is doing very well.
