UPDATE: 3:30PM 6/1/2020: George Floyd’s family’s private pathologist has determined that Mr. Floyd did die of “mechanical asphyxiation” due to pressure put not only on his neck also but on his back.
George Floyd’s shocking autopsy results have been released. They do not fit the general narrative painted by the mainstream media and “protesters” alike. Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office says there is no evidence that George Floyd died from asphyxiation or strangulation. There is, however, evidence that Mr. Floyd had coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease.
“The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death.”
Facts about the circumstances of Mr. Floyd’s death won’t matter much to those that are laser-focused on anarchy. Looting and rioting have nothing to do with George Floyd. That type of behavior is simply opportunistic. New York City reports evidence of organized rioters communication with encrypted devices to alert each other of accelerant and projectile locations.
Riot apologists say that the chaos happening across the country is righteous because of the scourge of police brutality and lack of justice when it happens. There are a few problems with this. First of all, officer Derek Chauvin, the man who may have killed George Floyd, is already in police custody. Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. He faces over 20 years in prison.
This case may not even be about police brutality. At least not because of the knee that Chauvin rested on Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes. Not only does the Hennepin County autopsy nearly clear him, but the neck restraint that he used is allowed by Minneapolis police. It is considered a non-lethal option because the trachea (airway) is not blocked, therefore breathing is not obstructed.
