After much speculation, McDonald’s has confirmed the existence of their $5 value meal. However, there is one big catch. The meal deal will only last for one month, starting June 25th. Also, not all locations will participate in the promotion. Franchise locations in cities and states with high labor costs will opt out due to the price point of $5 being impossible to meet. This revelation has left a bad taste in the mouths of McDonald’s fans nationwide. The meal deal includes a McChicken or McDouble, a four-piece chicken nugget, small fries, and a drink. This deal comes on the heels of inflation running amok in nearly every industry, especially fast food. Groceries have become a more attractive option than fast food, which has become more expensive as groceries have become cheaper.
