The San Diego Police Department is under fire after pulling over a black man in a window-shattering traffic stop. Nicholas Hoskins refused to follow the orders of police during the traffic stop which led to his window being shattered and a soft extraction. He had been pulled over four times, including the news-making one, within the past year. The first stop was when he was with his cousin, who is on parole. The second stop was for a taped-up taillight. The third was for window tint that was too dark. The fourth and most recent stop came after he performed a rolling stop at a stop sign. All of the stops happened after he was released from prison after an attempted murder conviction against him was thrown out after eight years of incarceration.
