An infamous Douglas County Judge, Christina J. Peterson, has been arrested outside of an Atlanta nightclub for fighting with police. The incident occurred at The Red Martini Restaurant & Lounge in the ritzy Buckhead area. According to police, Peterson was belligerent and struck at least one of them with a closed fist. According to Peterson’s friend, she was acting in the capacity of a good samaritan, attempting to save a woman from getting beat up by a man. The man in question was not arrested on the scene, but Peterson was.
Judge Christina Peterson has a checkered past. In April, Peterson was found guilty of “systemic incompetence.” The Judicial Qualifications Commission voted unanimously that she be ousted from office following 30 counts of misconduct. The three-person panel found that she ignored courthouse rules, abused personnel, and made inappropriate posts on social media.
