Los Angeles Builds $165 Million Tower For The HOMELESS On Skid Row!

Los Angeles has built a $165 million tower for the homeless population living in and near Skid Row. The construction of this tower took around three years and cost about $600,000 per unit. When at full capacity, only about 250 residents will be housed in the tower, which is a drop in the bucket of the 45,000+ homeless population in Los Angeles. The idea is to get qualified people off the streets and into housing to springboard them into a better existence. Another tower, Weingart Tower 2, is currently being built. Local residents and some politicians have thrown cold water on the project, saying that it will become drug and crime-infested in a very short period, no different than Skid Row itself.
