Joe Biden has announced a flurry of “diverse” cabinet members, including Rachel Levine as Assistant Health Secretary. She will serve under Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. Appointing Levine to the cabinet shouldn’t really be newsworthy, but there are at least two reasons why it is, and the most important reason will be ignored by the mainstream media networks.
Mainstream liberal media will focus on the fact that Rachel Levine is transgender beyond anything else. A news clip states that Levine will be the first transgender member of the Federal Government confirmed by the Senate. There are quite a few “firsts” in the Biden administration, which seems to be a running theme. Levine’s appointment fits right into the “woke” culture, which punishes a lack of so-called “diversity.”
In the quest to achieve and celebrate diversity, mainstream media ignore Levine’s actual track record and experience. Before coming to the Federal Government, Levine was Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary. And her performance during the virus was abysmal at best and possibly criminally negligent at worst. Levine’s policy was to admit people with the virus who were “stable” into nursing homes. However, Levine removed her own mother from a nursing home in Pennsylvania right before the aforementioned policy went into place. Many seniors died in Pennsylvania nursing homes after that decision… and there are people who place the blame for that squarely on Rachel Levine’s head.
If this person does indeed become involved with the Federal Government in any decision-making capacity, it is going to be problem if her track record in Pennsylvania gives an accurate representation of her ability to perform.
