Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the football field after tackling a player from the Cincinnati Bengals. The tackle appeared routine at first, but it quickly turned into something else. After the tackle, Hamlin got right back up and appeared to be ready for the next play. He almost immediately fell back down, collapsing into full cardiac arrest. He lay motionless on the field for about nine minutes as medical professionals performed CPR and AED. A heart defibrillator was brought out onto the field and administered to Hamlin to shock his heart back into rhythm. He was eventually carted off the field and taken to a nearby hospital in Cincinnati.
