Chicago Begins Evictions Of Migrants From Area Shelters

Chicago is starting to evict migrants from area shelters amid a measles outbreak among them. So far, about 30 mostly male migrants have been evicted. There is a goal of 2,000 migrant evictions to be reached soon. Local activists have expressed their grievances with the evictions. They say these people need work permits to contribute to the local economy. Some say that such permits should be granted to all migrants in the country through an executive order from President Biden’s desk.
