Douglass Mackey Given 7 Month Prison Sentence Over Hillary Clinton Meme From 2016 Election Season

Douglass Mackey, also known online as “Ricky Vaughn”, has been sentenced to 7 months in prison for distributing a Hillary Clinton meme during the 2016 Presidential Election season. The meme was a fake flyer instructing people to vote by text for the former First Lady. This was considered to be a form of election interference by a judge and he was sentenced to prison for it. However, there are clear examples of other people doing the exact same thing for the other “side” and these people were never even charged. One woman wore a “MAGA” hat, stood in front of “MAGA” signs, and proceeded to tell Trump supporters a false way to vote. She was never even questioned. Trump supporters, and also just rational people, see the treatment of Mackey as a clear example of the two-tiered justice system.
