Maegan Hall, a former police officer from LaVernge, Tennesse, was awarded $500,000 in a lawsuit. Hall famously went viral at the top of 2023 for her involvement in a department-wide sex scandal. Four other officers, along with Hall and the Police Chief of LaVernge, were fired. Hall was married then and had relations with several officers on the force in a relatively short time. Officers took and shared pictures of Hall among themselves. Although there were no allegations of assault or any criminal activity, Hall alleges she was convinced to engage in sexual activity utilizing consistent badgering and harassment. The City of LaVernge decided to settle with Hall with the $500,000 payment coming from its insurer and not the taxpayers.
