Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Democratic Governor hopeful Charlie Crist recently had their one and only debate of this campaign cycle. DeSantis is often viewed as one of the top Governors in the nation. He is also viewed as very controversial due to his Trump “adjacency”. Charlie Crist is a well-known figure in Florida politics. He is currently a Senator and he was previously Governor of Florida from 2007 to 2011.
This debate largely centered on the policies of the Biden administration and the potential Presidential aspirations of Ron DeSantis. Whatever side of the aisle a media critic is on will most likely determine their viewpoint of the debate’s outcome. There is no question, however, that DeSantis had the most quotable moments with the largest impact, despite him being the target of heavy criticism for the past few years.
