Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson allegedly threw former President Donald Trump under the bus in a series of text messages. The texts were released as part of a defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems. It is not clear how Dominion obtained the texts, but they are allegedly between Carlson and a colleague. Tucker Carlson allegedly stated that he “hates him with a passion”, referring to Trump. He also stated that Fox is very close to being able to ignore Trump. This news comes on the heels of some in the Republican Party, namely Mitch McConnell, criticizing Fox and Tucker over the release of January 6th footage. McConnell and others accuse the network of “cherry-picking” footage to downplay the severity of J6.
