Hundreds of New York City bodega workers are now legal concealed carry permit holders due to the work of a “secret society.” This news comes on the heels of an uptick in crime across the country, especially in NYC. Citizens are often afraid to leave their homes at certain times of the night due to rampant crime that has largely gone unchecked. Bodega workers are among the select few people who do not have the luxury of hunkering down inside their homes at night. These people need to be able to protect themselves from the criminal element of the country. This is why hundreds of NYC bodega workers have been working secretly over the past two years to obtain their concealed carry permits.
The secretive nature of this massive operation to arm bodega workers comes out of an abundance of caution and unity. The idea is to not alert criminals who are and who are not armed. So when a criminal has the thought to enter a corner store and commit some type of violent action, they will have to think twice. The person behind the counter could very well be armed and put an early end to their night. This will protect workers who aren’t comfortable with guns.
