Illegal Migrants From Jordan Released After Attempted Military Base Breach

Two illegal migrants from Jordan were released from custody after attempting to break into US Marine Corps Base Quantico in Northern Virginia. They were initially being held by Immigrants and Customs Enforcement (ICE) due to their immigration status. One man was given a bail amount of $15,000, while the other was $10,000. Bail rules usually state that at least 10% must be paid for a person to be released, which equates to $1,500 and $1,000, respectively. Bail for such a situation that could be terror-related is unfathomable, especially such low amounts. One of the illegal aliens was in the United States on an expired student visa, while the other came through the Southern Border in San Diego illegally. The person who went through the border was released into the country’s interior due to a lack of detention space.
