Special Counsel Jack Smith has filed a motion to drop all four felony charges against Trump in the January 6th case. Smith had previously announced that he, along with the rest of his team, will resign before Trump takes office. This news represents yet another victory for the President in the area of legal complications. The election interference case in Fulton County, Georgia, has been shelved and probably won’t go anywhere. Sentencing in the hush money case brought to the public by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been postponed until 2029. None of the cases against Trump are sticking, which is a clear sign that this was all about “lawfare” in an attempt to keep Trump out of office.
