A Japanese man reportedly spent two million yen, or the equivalent of around $20,000 to become a border collie breed of dog. He has gone on television to do “interviews” while dressed up in his elaborate dog costume. The man’s true identity is unknown. Captions on a recent video with nearly two million views on the man’s YouTube channel say that he has dreamed of “becoming” a dog since his childhood. The video from the “interview” shows other dogs coming up to him and leaving confused and/or scared. A man “becoming” a dog isn’t necessarily anything new, especially not in Japan or the West.
