Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade Shut Down After 22 Shot, 1 Killed

The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl 58 Parade devolved into chaos after a gun battle broke out in the crowd of over 100,000. The shooting apparently started as a dispute between random people in the large crowd near Union Station. Chaos broke out toward the parade’s end, celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory. At least 22 people were shot, and one person was killed. The deceased woman was Lisa Lopez-Galvan. She is a popular local DJ who co-hosted a weekly radio show on KKFI 90.1 called A Taste of Tejano. Kansas City is slated to host the World Cup in just two years. Such an event like the parade shooting might damage those plans.
