Kathy Griffin is returning to the comedy scene with a new tour 6 years after her career came to a halt due to posting a picture of herself with a bloody effigy of Donald Trump. She says her peers blacklisted her from working in Hollywood, and she suffered quite a bit of personal issues. Griffin was investigated by the Department of Justice for threats against the President. She was also placed on the no-fly list, held for three days on a mental health hold, diagnosed with PTSD and lung cancer, and went through a divorce.
The comedian divulged all of this information during a media tour on ABC. Some would say she attempts to make people feel bad for her, and others will. There are, of course, people who will not feel bad for her. During her show in Tarrytown, New York, Trump supporters protested her appearance with a small caravan carrying their own version of the effigy that she showed many years ago.
