Liz Truss Resigns As UK Prime Minister After Just 44 Days In Office

Liz Truss has resigned as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom after just 44 days in office. The reasoning for her resignation has been vague at best. The most likely cause is essentially a “mutiny” that has been happening with UK’s Conservative Government. Several high-level officials have also resigned within the past few months.

Truss will remain in office until a proper successor has been found. Her resignation comes on the heels of being the replacement of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Johnson was essentially forced out back in July due to “mounting ethics issues”. Ironically enough, Boris Johnson may be one of the top contenders to come back to the office and replace Truss.
