A U.S. Marine has been arrested after a missing 14-year-old girl was discovered at the barracks at Camp Pendleton. The girl’s grandmother reported her missing from San Diego two weeks prior to her discovery on the military base. The teenager has a history of running away but she would always return a short time later. According to the girl’s Aunt, she was sold into sex slavery by human traffickers and that is how she ended up at Camp Pendleton. The Aunt also alleges that the military knew what was happening and decided to cover it up instead of intervening. However, there is no proof that the military knew what happened or that the girl was sold. The marine did, in fact, have the girl, though. He is in the custody of his command as of the writing of this article.
