A mass shooting at a Baltimore, Maryland block party descended and left 28 people shot, and 2 dead. Most of the victims were teenagers. This event took place in the South Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Homes Housing Project. The sprawling crime scene featured dozens of drink cups and boxes of food strewn about. Community leaders say this event has been going on for the past 27 years and there is typically a robust police presence, but that was not the case this year. Baltimore Police say they were not aware of the event taking place until it was already happening.
