NFL football player Tyreek Hill was arrested in Miami, Florida, after a routine traffic stop didn’t go quite as planned. Hill did not appear to be injured and the police didn’t get violent with him. This incident started when Hill was speeding in his McLaren sports car. He seemed to be going upwards of 100 miles per hour near the Dolphins stadium. This area had several orange cones set up in lines, presumably to funnel traffic in a particular fashion. Once pulled over, Hill took umbrage with the officer, who knocked on his car’s window. The window tint was pretty dark, so the officer probably wanted him to keep the window down as a safety precaution.
The back-and-forth arguing that Hill chose to engage in resulted in his extraction from the vehicle. Three officers were on the scene at Hill’s vehicle and were most likely Cuban. This incident is being classified as race-based due to Tyreek Hill being black. The traffic stop going left is less about skin color and more about refusing to comply with law enforcement.
