Eight migrants from Venezuela are suspected of squatting in the basement of a Bronx home with drugs and guns. At least four of the migrants were arrested on the scene, with others captured later. The illicit wares were all contained in one room where a 7-year-old boy also lived. The landlord had been having trouble with the migrants for quite a while, as the laws in NYC give squatters a certain level of rights that prevents immediate eviction. Some of the migrants already have criminal records in New York, including allegations of violent crime.
