NBA Player Ja Morant Facing Prison Time, NBA Suspension Over Gun

NBA basketball player Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is facing prison time and a league suspension over a gun issue. The superstar point guard recorded himself in a Denver-area strip club live on Instagram. He flashed at least one “gang sign” and also flashed a pistol. It is not certain if the gun was loaded or not. It is also not clear if Morant brought the gun to Denver by way of the team’s plane. The NBA’s collective bargaining agreement calls for an automatic 50-game suspension for such an offense. Denver Police are looking into the gun issue to see if he broke any local laws. Colorado is an open-carry state but, obviously, that does not necessarily apply to private businesses nor does it cover concealed carry, which is most likely what Morant was doing inside of a strip club.
