A relatively new Transformers cartoon called Transformers: Earthspark has gone full woke with the usage of they/them pronouns. A couple of clips from the cartoon have gone viral on the internet. Optimus Prime, and another Transformer, were instructed to use proper pronouns by their human counterparts. This is a far cry from the cartoon’s origin in the 1980s when the only sort of transformation going on was the alien robots becoming automobiles and planes.
