Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested In The Bahamas, May Be Extradited To USA

Notorious cryptocurrency scammer Sam Bankman-Fried, formerly of FTX, has finally been arrested in the Bahamas. Bahamian officials have not yet processed his extradition to the USA for one or maybe two reasons. The first reason is that they are awaiting an extradition request from New York. Second, Bahamian officials may actually want to put SBF on trial in their country due to some illegal things that he may have done there. Once extradited back to the US, SBF could face up to life in prison. Federal officials seek to charge SBF with several counts of fraud for essentially running a Ponzi scheme worth tens of billions of dollars.
