The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has ruled unanimously, 9-0, to keep President Donald Trump on the ballot in Colorado. Colorado cited an article of the Constitution that prevents people who have participated in an insurrection from holding the office of the Presidency. The Supreme Court ruled that states do not have the power to enforce such a clause and that it is up to the United States Congress. And, of course, Congress has already impeached Trump over January 6th, to no avail. This decision will affect other states (Illinois and Maine) that attempted to do the same thing Colorado did.
