Sean “Diddy” Combs addressed the brutal video of himself attacking his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a short video uploaded to social media. CNN exclusively released a video of Combs assaulting Ventura at the InterContinental hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. The events that played out in the video were exactly what the infamous lawsuit from Cassie Ventura stated.
Combs appears to have recanted his initial stance of denying all wrongdoing when the lawsuit from Ventura first appeared. He now says that he is very sorry for what happened. He also offered up many excuses, saying he was in a deep, dark place. Combs also stated that he checked into rehab and got therapy after the incident. Legal experts say Combs may not face legal repercussions for the incident. There is still, however, the matter of Homeland Security investigating the music mogul for allegations of human trafficking.
