Stacey Abrams has become a millionaire after losing her 2018 Gubernatorial Campaign against current Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. This process happened over the course of the four years leading up to the present day in which she is prepared to run again. Abrams clocked in at around $100,000 of net worth back in 2018. She also had IRS tax debt that she was unable to pay. This was a sticking point for Republicans who made the obvious point… “if she can’t manage her own finances then how would she manage the finances of an entire state as its Governor?”
Abrams is now worth $3.17 million after earning around $6 million in the past four years. She has made most of her money from speaking engagements and political appearances. Most of this money probably comes from the Democratic establishment nationwide and not necessarily from people who live in Georgia. Even if Stacey Abrams does not win, which she probably won’t, the money train probably won’t stop any time soon. This is a prime reason why obvious losers continue to run every single time. And the reason is quite simple. Even if a person loses a race over and over, they are still able to maintain a name for themselves, which ensures them a certain level of fame that keeps the money train rolling. It’s sort of like being a social media influencer, but obviously much less ethical.
