Twice-failed Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams says an attack on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (also known as DEI) is an attack on democracy. She made the statements during an episode of Politics Nation with Al Sharpton on MSNBC. Sharpton posted the six-minute-long interview on his Twitter page. During the interview, she discussed many other political issues, including her role in the upcoming 2024 elections. Sharpton posed a question to her about DEI and how conservatives deal with it, namely “Trumpers.” The 1980s race hustler also made claims about Trump supporters pushing forward racism and anti-semitism. Abrams responded to his comments and questions with a few things, one of which was the line about the attack on DEI being an attack on Democracy.
