The Biden Administration Ends The Student Loan Relief Program

The Biden administration announced that the Student Loan Relief program will come to an end on February 1st, 2022. The program has lasted for the better part of a year or more. Its objective was to give payors time to catch up on bills by allowing them to essentially defer student loan payments during the pandemic. This program is not to be confused with debt forgiveness which is an entirely different issue altogether. Many Democrats want the administration to extend the student loan moratorium, but there are no plans to do so. There is also no plan to follow through on one of Biden’s key campaign promises, the aforementioned student loan debt forgiveness.

  2. It should be noted that those schools who ‘promise’ to refund low-income students of their cash-money up-front tuitions do NOT hold to their promises. One such school is LaGuardia Community College in NYC. Numerous reports by students who were defrauded by LGCC and likely other con-game schools of the same ilk.

  3. You know once the government gets involved in something (student loans, tuition assistance, grants, etc.) it’s going to get messed up and the cost is going to skyrocket. Everybody wants in on the taxpayer-funded subsidies because they can get all that free money. Meanwhile the people get screwed.
