Trump Classified Documents Case Dismissed Over Jack Smith Appointment

Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed the “classified documents” case against President Donald Trump. In an over 90-page ruling, Cannon stated that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s appointment was unconstitutional, voiding the entire case. Some news sources say that this decision could be overturned by the Supreme Court, but other sources say that even if that happens, the original decision could be reinstated by the lower courts. Ultimately, this case is done and probably won’t be a factor anymore in this cycle of lawfare that has been happening against the (former) President. Another federal case is still pending against Trump emanating from DC, but it also involves Jack Smith, so it may be thrown out soon.
