A federal judge in Boston has allowed Venezuelan migrants sent to Martha’s Vineyard in 2022 to sue the private company who flew them there. This comes after a two-year-long battle with attorneys over the “stunt” by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that sent migrants to the island off the coast of Massachusetts mainland. The migrants were on the well-to-do island for just about 48 hours before they were deported to a military base on nearby Cape Cod. It is unclear if the migrants themselves will sue and benefit directly or if the migrant group Alianza Americas, which represents the migrants, will handle everything.
