Conservative influencer Benny Johnson suffered a vehicle break-in and attempted robbery in Oakland while covering the city’s serious problems with crime. The incident happened in broad daylight at a recently closed-down In-N-Out Burger location that was a constant target of criminals. Many other businesses in the area have closed down for the same reason. The location was bustling before closing, with loyal customers who enjoyed the food. The problem was just the crime.
Staff and patrons of the only In-N-Out Burger location to ever close down reported robberies at gunpoint and vehicle break-ins consistently. Local law enforcement was obviously aware of the issue. Still, they could only do so much as city and state politicians refused to properly enforce the law through the legal system. Benny Johnson was filming a piece about the lack of accountability for criminals in the area, and he became a victim of that crime.
