Black Man Says His Car Was Vandalized With Racist Graffiti In Los Angeles

A black man residing in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California, says that someone tagged his car with racial slurs. The victim of the alleged vandalism, Reginald Scott, says someone “tagged” his newly-painted red and white Ford Mustang sports car with black spray paint. Pictures and video of the vehicle show an incorrectly-drawn swastika alongside the words “Merry Christmas N****.” Christmas was misspelled with a “u” instead of an “a” at the end. Scott says his car was vandalized sometime between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Reginald Scott says this is not the first time that cars in the neighborhood have been vandalized. It is, however, the first time a vehicle has been vandalized with racial slurs. Scott says that other cars belonging to him have also been hit previously. He owned a red pickup truck that suffered slashed tires. Another one of his sedans was actually set on fire. There is no suspect in the crime, although Scott did file a police report. He currently has a GoFundMe to fix the damages allegedly done to the vehicle.
